Boiler Room – Complete
I worked very hard for a long time and every second of it has paid off. I learned many new techniques to work more efficiently and problem solving many issues in my work flow, so they never occur again. After all of this valuable experience, I have an awesome render and demo video. All that’s left now, is to take what I have learned on this project and apply it to my next one. Here is the render of my Boiler Room:
Instrumental: D.A.T
This HipHop instrumental is with a string quartet. It’s very urban and modern. D.A.T stands for ‘Dope Ass Track’ because when it was being recorded, everyone in the room was calling this track that. Kept the name, but abbreviated it for the album. Enjoy!
Boiler Room – Texture Complete
I’ve been working very diligently and haven’t procrastinated at all but this boiler room is taking longer than expected. I made textures by deadline but boy did I put a lot of time and work into it. I’m very proud of what I have accomplished so far and extremely excited to see how the final render will look. Here is a render of where my progress stands:
Busy Being Successful
Wow it’s been a hectic week. I’ve been so busy, I’ve been using every second of the 86,400 a day contains and its still not enough. I’m starting to understand what it means to work 25/7. I am a full time college student with 15 units this semester with two 3D modeling classes. Each modeling class requires at least 12 hours a week. I just received an internship at Catalina Games, a video game company. My job is to create 3D models of environments,…
Boiler Room – Modeling Progress #2
Here is another update now that the modeling is mostly finished. All that’s left to model is just the room itself and that shouldn’t take too long. All thats really involved is just a door and a few vents. I have already started to UV but didn’t include it in this update because it’s just started. Next update will include renders of the texturing. Here is a render of where my progress stands:
Music Theory Lesson – Progressions #3
When playing a melody, there are many positions you can start from. Each starting point has a different feeling on the entire melody segment. While you can start anywhere, it’s best to start on a harmonizing note; even better if the harmonizing notes are different. Usually the starting point is dictated by where you left off in the last melody segment.
Instrumental: Two Sided Coin
Today is my wonderful girlfriend’s birthday. This was a song written for her and I wanted to share it with the public, so I converted all the lyrics into a synthesizer, like a virtual privacy wall for her. Here’s an instrumental of your song to do as you please. Love You! 🙂
Boiler Room – Modeling Progress #1
Now that a week has passed, here is my current work in progress. The main modeling is finished. I’m slightly ahead of schedule and I intend to keep it that way. All that’s left is the fine detail modeling, but I’m going to start UV-ing before I do that. Here is a render of where my progress stands:
