Busy Being Successful

Wow it’s been a hectic week. I’ve been so busy, I’ve been using every second of the 86,400 a day contains and its still not enough. I’m starting to understand what it means to work 25/7. I am a full time college student with 15 units this semester with two 3D modeling classes. Each modeling class requires at least 12 hours a week.

I just received an internship at Catalina Games, a video game company. My job is to create 3D models of environments, one each week. It moves at a fast pace, but thats what its like in the industry and the experience is very rewarding.

I am also a founding father of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity, Chi Eta colony in Chico. In the fraternity, I hold the Marketing & Website Chair as well as Brotherhood Chair. Marketing & Website Chair’s responsibilities include managing and updating Chico AEPI’s website, creating flyers, advertising events, and anything related to that. Brotherhood Chair’s responsibilities include planning events for brothers, the mediator if any disputes occur among brothers, and keeping that brotherly bond that we all share strong.

I may have signed up for too much this semester, but the experience and skill sets I’m obtaining in such a short amount of time is priceless and amazing. When there’s no more room for food on your plate, start stacking it up high. I’ve been balancing & managing my time pretty well so far and I hope to keep it up. I plan to graduate at the end of this spring from Chico State University. If all goes according to plan, I’ll be very ahead of the game with an amazing portfolio.
